Jordan Belfort was very good at two things: making money, and throwing the most outrageous parties that could even make rock stars cringe. And now his story has made it to the big screen in The Wolf of Wall Street from Oscar winning director Martin Scorsese, and with Leonardo DiCaprio embodying Belfort himself.

An adaption of Belfort’s book of the same name, the film follows Jordan Belfort’s unbelievable true-life story as he conquered all of Wall Street from his brokerage firm, Stratton Oakmont in Long Island, and the resulting hard partying lifestyle that came of it, until it all came crashing down.

A very talented group of actors have been cast alongside DiCaprio including Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie, Jean Dujardin, Kyle Chandler, Jon Favreau, Rob Reiner and Matthew McConaughey to bring the wilder than life story of Belfort’s very different American Dream to life. DiCaprio, who is a real life friend of Belfort won a bidding war to acquire the rights to his life story, and then hired Terence Winter (‘Boardwalk Empire’) to adapt the story.

If this new trailer is anything to go by, then the Wolf of Wall Street will be a completely out of control film, highlighted by Belfort’s serious addiction to Quaaludes, and his infamous sinking of his luxury yacht Nadine. But for Belfort this is all in the past, as he is now a successful motivational speaker, using his crazy life story to help others improve their own lives, while also avoiding the same mistakes he did.

The Wolf of Wall Street looks like a whole lot of fun, along with being a portrait of the American Dream gone askew, and Leonardo DiCaprio looks fantastic in it. So for secrets on how to throw parties that will make a rock star cringe make sure you head to the cinema to catch The Wolf of Wall Street on December 25.
