The new trailer for Bennett Miller’s Foxcatcher is now online, and the showdown of mental and physical will between Steve Carell and Channing Tatum is one of explosive tension.
Foxcatcher chronicles the life story of Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum), a talented college wrestler who would go on to become an Olympic Champion, and how he became involved with paranoid schizophrenic John Du Pont (Steve Carell) through his Foxcatcher wresting camp, and which would ultimately end in tragedy.
This new promo captures the warrior spirit that drives champion athlete’s like Schultz to victory and glory. It also sets up the physical and emotional intensity that comes from the pursuit of being a champion. Tatum, Carell, and Mark Ruffalo as Mark’s brother, Olympic champion Dave Schultz, all look to have put in powerhouse performances for Foxcatcher, and there is even talk that Foxcatcher could lead Tatum to Academy gold.
Foxcatcher looks like one powerhouse film that is exploding with emotional intensity and drama, and which will grip audiences on its international release on November 14.
