In what is a really cool way to ring in the New Year, Sylvester Stallone has taken to Twitter to announce a string of new projects that he is working on, including releasing the name of his intended final Rambo film Last Blood.
2008’s Rambo was an absolute smash filled with bone-crushing action and a body count of 236! Intent on bringing the story of John Rambo to a close with Last Blood, Stallone has also revealed that Julie Benz will return to the franchise, and fellow Expendables alumni and personal friend Mickey Rourke will also be along for the ride.
While no plot points are known at the moment, an unused script from 2008’s Rambo had the action set in Mexico, with Rambo having to hunt down the men who kidnapped the daughter of a family friend. It’s possible that we could see elements from this script incorporated into Last Blood.
In addition to Last Blood, Stallone also announced Scarpa, a mob movie based on the life of notorious mobster and informant Gregory Scrapa, which will kick off after he finishes working on boxing drama Creed with Michael B. Jordan.
