It’s been fifteen years since we were first introduced to Dom, Brian, Letty, Mia and the rest of the Toretto crew in The Fast and The Furious, and now with Fast & Furious 7 we’ll come full circle, going back to where it all began.
In this brand new featurette, Vin Diesel, and the rest of the cast talk about the article published in Vibe magazine which charted the rise of the underground street racing scene which planted the seed for a franchise that would take the world by storm.
But above all else, Fast & Furious 7 is the final chapter in the legacy that belongs to Paul Walker, and his most memorable and defining character Brian O’Connor. After the immense success of Fast & Furious 6, Walker and his co-star and friend Vin Diesel were the first ones to sign back on for Fast & Furious 7, and when filming started back up the two were in the thick of the action. But when the cast broke away for a break in filming the unthinkable happened, and Walker was tragically killed on November 30, 2013. Fast & Furious 7 was immediately put on hold, with some saying that it might be shelved permanently, but this wasn’t an option, and the cast, crew and fans the world over pulled together and pushed for the film to be completed as a tribute to Walker, and the amazing commitment and performance he gave to the franchise, and his character.
On April 2 Paul Walker will once again be up on the big screen, side by side with his fast family as they get set for one more wild ride.
