In a magical new trailer the boundaries of fiction and reality blur with the delightful Gemma Bovery.

Inspired by Flaubert’s classic masterpiece Madame Bovery, Gemma Bovery is a modern, and charming romantic comedy that follows Martin (Fabrice Luchini), an ex-Parisian and well-heeled hipster who is passionate about Gustave Flaubert, and whom has just settled into a quaint Norman village as a baker. He soon meets an English couple, Gemma and Charles Bovery (Gemma Arterton, Jason Flemyng), and he is taken by the similarities that they share with the characters of Flaubert’s greatest work.

Director Anne Fontaine looks to have adapted Posy Simmonds graphic novel with vigor, and style as she places the earthy and graceful beauty of Gemma Arterton alongside the inquisitive and endearing Fabrice Luchini.

Set against the perfection of the French countryside, Gemma Bovery looks to be a delightful movie that will definitely connect with audiences on May 21.
