Auteur filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is blatantly unapologetic in his love of the grandeur and glamour of cinema, and with his eighth feature The Hateful Eight, he’s bringing the scope of the 70mm film print back to audiences.

In this new featurette, Samuel L. Jackson narrates the journey to capture The Hateful Eight in 70mm, Tarantino’s partnership with Panavision, and the glamorous roadshow that is in store for some very lucky fans. Without going into specifics, Jackson points to the tradition of the overture, intermission, and programme as part of the experience of the roadshow, and it’s certain that audiences will get to experience all of this at these exclusive events. Tarantino even goes so far as to suggest that his roadshow showings will contain exclusive footage that he’ll only ever make available in this format.

Packed with a phenomenal cast that includes Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Demian Bichir, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen and Bruce Dern, Hateful Eight is set to be one of the most explosive cinema events of 2016, and potentially Tarantino’s best film to date.

The roadshow presentation for The Hateful Eight will begin on December 25, 2015 before the film receives a general release on January 8, 2016 in the US and UK and on January 14, 2016 in Australia and January 21, 2014 in New Zealand.
