After obliterating records in its opening weekend, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has now toppled Jurassic World (which was helmed by future Star Wars Episode IX director Colin Trevorrow) with a $528 million global haul.

Force Awakens also had the biggest domestic haul of all time with $238 million in the US, and with the film still awaiting its China release on January 9, it’s a good bet that Force Awakens will continue to climb, with some on Wall Street suggesting that it could eclipse $3 billion at the box office.

In a statement, Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn said, “Our sole focus has been creating a film that delivers that one-of-a-kind Star Wars experience, and director J.J. Abrams, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and the Lucasfilm team have outdone themselves.”
