Jason Statham has always been one for death-defying stunts (quite literally in fact), but he’s taking his game to a whole new level with Mechanic: Resurrection.
After the demise of his partner turned enemy Steve McKenna (Ben Foster), ace assassin Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) seeks to retire from his deadly occupation, and find some kind of new life with his new love Gina (Jessica Alba). But when an old enemy resurfaces, Bishop is forced to pick up his gun one more time, and makes a pact with his intended victim, international criminal Max Adams (Tommy Lee Jones) to help him save Gina and get his revenge.
Statham goes all out with the action in Mechanic: Resurrection, and the film’s vanishing pool scene is likely to go down as one of the most accomplished stunts in film history. The British hard man also appears to have great chemistry with Alba, who is no damsel in distress, and gets to take out plenty of bad guys herself. Finally the legendary Tommy Lee Jones takes to the screen as wild and eccentric criminal Max Adams, who just might teach Bishop a few more lessons.
If you’re an action junkie in need of a fix then Mechanic: Resurrection should definitely be on your must watch list this year, and will be released in cinemas on August 26.
