Rory Culkin is no stranger to scary movies, having played one of the unexpected but sickly twisted villains in Scream 4. Now the actor is stepping into the role of the victim in Thomas Dekker’s upcoming horror Jack Goes Home, which recently dropped its first trailer.
The film, which also stars horror legend Lin Shaye (Insidious, A Nightmare on Elm Street), sees Culkin playing Jack, who travels home to Colorado after his father is killed in a car crash. However, he soon uncovers deep dark family secrets that threaten to derail the life he’s always known.
There’s no one who can creep audiences out quite like Lin Shaye, and this horror veteran appears to be in top form as Jack’s mother Teresa. Culkin is also clearly in his element here, playing Jack as both highly suspicious and convincingly scared.
Jack Goes Home will be released just in time for Halloween on October 14.
