American Horror Story has made a glorious return to its roots as of late with sharper, more consistently written characters and a tighter plot, and now creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy is teasing fans with a potential crossover season.
Speaking at Entertainment Weekly‘s PopFest, the television genius revealed that he is looking at doing a crossover between season one’s Murder House and season three’s Coven. “We do know what we’re going to do,” Murphy divulged during his panel. “It’s not going to be next season, but we are going to do a season that’s a crossover between Murder House and Coven together, which is very bizarre.”
While the idea of Jessica Lange, Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott returning is alluring, there are no guarantees just yet. “I’ve already started going to actors from both of the seasons, quietly, saying, ‘I think in this window, if you could fit us in,’” said Murphy.
There are so many potential storylines the AHA team could go with, not to mention plenty of characters we’re dying to be reunited with again. Jessica Lange’s Constance is top of my list, but frankly, any of the brilliant characters from season one and three would be a welcome surprise.
