He stole the show in Captain America: Civil War, and now Tom Holland is stepping out into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in director Jon Watt’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, which has just premiered its first trailer.
Here’s the synopsis:
Following the fallout of the Avengers, after the conflict between Iron Man and Captain America, teenage superhero Peter Parker finds himself back to square one in Queens, New York. Finding trouble balancing high school life with his superhero antics, Peter soon finds himself confronted by a dangerous new enemy called The Vulture.
Holland does an incredible job as the new Spider-Man. Not only do you completely buy him as your regular teenager just trying to get through high school, but his web spinning skills are pretty damn cool. He’ll also have his hands full with Michael Keaton’s nasty new villain Adrian Toomes aka The Vulture, while Robert Downey Jr. himself also makes an appearance as Tony Stark, who now finds himself as a mentor to the young hero.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released in cinemas on July 6, 2017 in New Zealand and Australia and on July 7, 2017 in the US and UK.
