No series captured audiences last year quite like This Is Us, which was a refreshing departure from the high concept shows of recent years.
Taking audiences through different time periods in the lives of Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia), and their three children (Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz), the show is a beautiful tale of family, conflict, identity and love.
The show has garnered praise from fans and critics alike, and now it looks like NBC are moving fast on ensuring the show’s future, having just ordered two more seasons.
NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke said in the statement, “This Is Us is as good as anything we’ve ever had, we’re thrilled to renew it for two seasons and there’s no doubt it will have a long life on NBC. On behalf of everyone at NBC, we’re grateful for the artistry of the cast, crew, and producers assembled by our gifted creator, Dan Fogelman. In a world where there are literally hundreds of television dramas, we’re proud to have one of the very best that is also one of the highest-rated.”
We’re constantly kept at the edge of their seats with the emotional highs and lows of the series, and are certainly grateful to be gifted with more of this stunning and important drama.
