Action star Gerard Butler is about to find himself in the eye of a particularly horrific storm, in director Dean Devlin’s Geostorm.
Here’s the synopsis:
In a future where humanity has used science to control the weather, a fault in the system suddenly threatens the earth with catastrophic consequences, and it’s up to an astronaut (Butler) and his crew to put it right.
Geostorm sees noted film producer and disaster master Dean Devlin (Independence Day, Godzilla) behind the camera in his directorial debut, and he’s promising some pretty epic destruction with this one. While Devlin doesn’t give anything away with the new teaser, his concept of man-controlled weather going rogue is an intriguing idea and should keep audiences at the edge of their seats.
Geostorm will be released in cinemas on October 19 in New Zealand and Australia, and on October 20 in the US and UK.
