The television adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s cult fantasy novel American Gods finally has an official trailer for fans to dissect, and it’s a crazy one too!

Adapted by cult show runner Bryan Fuller (Hannibal, Pushing Daises) and screenwriter Michael Green (Logan, Blade Runner 2049), American Gods could very well end up being the most exciting television debut this year. Not only does it feature crazy mythology, but the terrific cast includes Ian McShane, Emily Browning, Crispin Glover, Gillian Anderson and Orlando Jones.

Here’s the synopsis:

American Gods focuses on Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle), an ex-convict who is released from prison days after his beloved wife Laura is killed. Left in a world with nothing to live for he befriends the enigmatic Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane), who hires him as a bodyguard. But unbeknownst to Shadow, Mr. Wednesday is actually the Norse god Odin, who is travelling across America in an effort to take the on the ‘new gods’ and reclaim the power that was once his.

Mark your calendars for April 30 when American Gods arrives on Starz.
