WWE superstar John Cena has been working his way up in Hollywood in the last few years with some great roles in films like Sisters and Trainwreck, and now he’s stretching his vocal muscles with Ferdinand.
Based upon the beloved children’s tale by Munro Leaf, Ferdinand follows the adventures of a mellow bull who prefers to smell the flowers than charge about butting heads. While Ferdinand ultimately keeps to himself, he longs for a friend, and soon finds himself kidnapped and placed in the bullfighting arena. In the wrong place Ferdinand must summon all his courage to escape the arena and find his way home.
Ferdinand is by all accounts a sweet and charming film that will undoubtedly enchant younger audiences with its comedic story.
Cena appears to be having a ball as the happy-go-lucky bull, and is joined by a stellar supporting cast including David Tennant, Anthony Anderson, Gabriel Iglesias and Kate McKinnon.
Get ready for some magic when Ferdinand arrives in cinemas on December 15 in the US and UK, and on December 26 in New Zealand and Australia.
