Rising star Tom Holland made a big impression on Marvel fans with his first appearance in last year’s Captain America: Civil War. Now he’s ready to save the day in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which has just dropped a new trailer:
Here’s the synopsis:
Following the fallout of the Avengers, after the conflict between Iron Man and Captain America, teenage superhero Peter Parker finds himself back to square one in Queens, New York. Finding trouble balancing high school life with his superhero antics, Peter soon finds himself confronted by a dangerous new enemy called The Vulture.
The new trailer focuses on the notion of classic Spider-Man themes such as responsibility and power, and how this over-eager youthful hero will have to temper his desire to save the day. While Peter is desperate to prove himself a hero, his actions draw the condemnation of his mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), who appears to take away Peter’s signature suit until he can prove himself a true hero.
With plenty of amazing aerial action scenes and a gripping story of a hero discovering his true purpose, we’re certain that Spider-Man fans will be very pleased when Spider-Man: Homecoming reaches cinemas on July 6 in New Zealand and Australia, and on July 7 in the US and UK.
