Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver is shaping up to be a slick, funny and action-packed watch, but a new featurette for the upcoming blockbuster also promises power struggles, strained relationships and heart.

In case you didn’t know, the film follows a skilled getaway driver named Baby (Ansel Elgort), who gets through each job to the beat of his preferred soundtrack. However, when he meets his dream girl (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to leave a life of crime, but things are complicated when he’s coerced into one last job by a mysterious criminal named Doc (Kevin Spacey).

Commenting on the relationship between the characters, Spacey says, “Doc and Baby end up having a relationship that’s almost father-like, but he’s a tough leader. He wants everyone to do their job and shut the f*** up.”

Catch the featurette below where Wright and Elgort talk more about Baby’s motivations and personality:

Baby Driver will be released on August 10 in New Zealand and Australia, August 11 in the US and August 18 in the UK.
