Here’s the synopsis:

30 April 1980. Six terrorists storm the Iranian Embassy in South Kensington, London, taking twenty-six people hostage. While Scotland Yard tries to reason with the men, two squadrons of the elite Special Air Service are dispatched to take command of the situation in an event that grabs the attention of the entire world.

The new trailer has just been released and it’s a nail-biting watch. Check it out below:

Jamie Bell takes centre stage in the new trailer as L/Cpl Rusty Firmin, an SAS trooper who is untested but determined to lead his squad to victory. Bell looks quick on the trigger and brings an animalistic focus which fits with the warrior mindset of the character. The Iranian Embassy siege was the first time the world was ever introduced to the SAS, and their actions and would have a lasting effect on the reputation of this elite Special Forces unit.

Bell is paired with co-stars Abbie Cornish as real-life BBC reporter Katie Adie, who broke the story of the embassy assault, and Mark Strong as hostage negotiator Max Vernon, who desperately tries to stop the violence that is to come.

6 Days is set to be released on August 4.
