Only the Mad Will Survive in Mad Max: Fury Road
The future is coming…..and only the mad will survive. The exclusive trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road has just been released online and it looks like we’re in for an absolutely insane action extravaganza.
In a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There’s Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy), a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa (Charlize Theron), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.
Legendary director George Miller rocked the San Diego Comic Con this weekend, and his new vision of Mad Max is one of absolute insanity and adrenaline. In a scorched desert, Max Rockatansky, the Road Warrior comes under attack, and is taken prisoner by a gang of desert marauders. Able to make his escape he soon falls in line with freedom fighter Furiosa and the two are set for one mad dash of explosions, sandstorms and gunfire across the Australian outback.
Tom Hardy looks particularly grim and steely eyed as the Road Warrior, and is sporting a gruff Australian accent, declaring that his world is nothing more than “fire and blood.” Hardy, who is a performer extraordinaire , looks to be in for one wild ride with this one, and Mad Max: Fury Road looks set to deliver a new kind of high octane rush.
On May 15 next year….get mad!
