The visceral new trailer for Dracula Untold has just been released, and the monsters of the dark are coming.
Luke Evans (‘Fast & Furious 6’, ‘Immortals’) stars in Dracula Untold, the origin story of the man who became the world’s most feared creature.
The new trailer presents Evans’ Vlad Tepes as a fuedal lord who, in order to save his family and people from the invading Turkish horde, must make a pact with the very essence of darkness. But while his deal with the devil grants him unprecedented supernatural powers, a price will be carried with them. While there’ll be plenty of bloodsucking, director Gary Shore is also giving audience plenty of epic battles including a mano a mano sword fight between Evans’ Dracula and Dominic Cooper’s Turkish Sultan Mehmed II. Given that the production is also sticking closer to the historical presence of Vlad Tepes, I also wouldn’t be surprised if we see his legacy as the Impaler come into the film. Evans looks to have become the character of Vlad completely, creating a hero of terrific strength and power, who has the unmatched fury of an uncontrollable monster. He’s joined by a terrific cast including Dominic Cooper, Sarah Gadon, Samantha Barkes, Charlie Cox, Zach McGowan and Charles Dance.
Men don’t fear swords, they fear monsters, and now they will fear Dracula himself. On October 2 the legend will be born.
