A real buzz has been building around Netflix’s new Daredevil adaption, and now we’ve got our first look at Charlie Cox as the Man Without Fear in the brand new trailer.
Lawyer-by-day Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) uses his heightened senses from being blinded as a young boy to fight crime at night on the streets of New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen as Daredevil.
Adapted from the celebrated Marvel comic book Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus, Dollhouse) is on hand as lead showrunner, and he’s created a very dark, and gritty noir tale, influenced in part by Frank Miller and John Romita Jr’s celebrated run, that is truly representative of the Man Without Fear.
British star Charlie Cox looks particularly impressive as Matt Murdock, balancing both his dual personality as passionate lawyer fighting injustice, and as the brutal vigilante Daredevil who takes the law into his own hand when the courtroom fails. In addition to Cox, the cast is rounded out by a terrific group of performers including Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and Vincent D’Onofrio as The Kingpin.
Daredevil is set to be a dark and edgy tale of a very different type of superhero, and will rock audiences when it’s released on April 10.
