The first teaser trailer for Danny Boyle’s ambitious biography of tech genius Steve Jobs as been released, giving us our first look at Michael Fassbender as Jobs.
Boyle, together with noted screenwriter Aaron Sorkin (A Few Good Men, ed, Moneyball) have based their film on Walter Isaacson’s best selling biography about the Apple founder. The film is set to follow Jobs in three key milestone moments of his life including the creation of the Mac, the formation of his start-up venture NeXT, and the launch of the game changing innovation that was the iPod.
Boyle, Sorkin and the rest of their creative team have clearly gone all out with a film that packs a very eclectic, and seasoned cast of performers including Fassbender as Jobs, Kate Winslet as former Mac marketing boss Joanna Hoffman, Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak, Job’s former partner and one of the co-founders of Apple, and Jeff Bridges as marketing genius and one time Apple CEO John Sculley.
Steve Jobs is definitely an Oscar contender, and will be released in cinemas on October 8.
