‘I’ll be back.’
Three words that changed cinema forever in 1984 when said by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s uncontrollable killing machine The Terminator, and now thirty years later Arnie is returning to the franchise that made him a star.
In a brand new featurette, cast and crew discuss the significance of having Arnold Schwarzenegger return to his most memorable character. Of the presence that Arnold brings to Terminator Genisys director Alan Taylor said, “I couldn’t imagine it without him, and it’s funny because I was trying to think of any other movies that I feel about like that and there aren’t many. He keeps everybody else in line because he just nails it all the time. He’s got it so down.”
“This is his iconic role”, said Jason Clarke, who stars as John Connor, the leader of the human resistance, and the new film’s unexpected antagonist. “He loves what he does, and the energy that he brings to that is fantastic. He’s larger than life, but yet your buddies. He’s a pleasure, whether you’re in the make-up chair, or whether your on set, or whether your catching a ride home with Arnold….he’s a good man to get a lift home with.”
Terminator Genisys is ready to take audiences in a whole new direction on July 2.
