It was an epic three days and exhausting ones at that!
This past weekend saw Excel London play host once more to MCM London Comic Con…and a record-breaking 130,560 attendees. To give you some context, this places MCM London Comic Con as the third largest Comic Con on the planet, behind the hugely popular San Diego and New York events.
Attendees enjoyed an exciting selection of sci-fi, film, television, comic book, anime, manga, videogame and cosplay content. Most notable however, were the wonderful panelists which included Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss for Sherlock and Doctor Who, Alad Tudyk and Nolan North for Con Man, and Charlie Higson for Jekyll and Hyde. Other special guests included The Flash’s Candice Patton, Breaking Bad’s RJ Mitte, and Game of Thrones’ Ian McElhinney, Eugene Simon and Ian Beattie.
Despite the panels, signings, adorable plushies and exhibitors, it was the outstanding cosplayers who really caught my eye. While my lazy self simply hired a kick-ass seamstress to make a costume for me (thanks Dani!), everyone else really proved their dedication and skill to their favourite characters. Take a look at a few of my favourites below:
Andddd….one more of me in my Psylocke costume. I have a newfound respect for Olivia Munn. Being Psylocke for a day wasn’t easy, and the only ‘stunt’ I had to do was walk up a flight of stairs.
