We’re eight episodes into Blindspot‘s freshman season and this twisted and compelling show has us hooked. It’s just as well that NBC has decided to renew the series for a second season.

The wonderful news was announced just yesterday and is a promising sign for the well-received drama which has consistently maintained impressive ratings (particularly with the enviable core group of adults 18-49). The timing of the renewal is actually considered early compared to other shows still stuck in renewal limbo.

Behind the scenes talent includes creator Martin Gero and executive producer Greg Berlanti, while Jamie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton lead a terrific cast which includes supporting talent from Marianne Jean-Baptise, Rob Brown, Ukweli Roach, Ashley Johnson and Audrey Esparza.
