OMG you guysss! The very first trailer for Finding Dory has finally hit the internet and it’s filled with fish-tastic fun.
After the success of 2003’s Finding Nemo, the character of Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres) became a fan favourite, leading Pixar to announce a sequel that would focus on the amnesiac character, while still welcoming back Nemo, Marlin and the “Tank Gang”.
Finding Dory takes place six months after the events of Finding Nemo when Dory suddenly recalls her childhood memories. Accompanied by Nemo (Hayden Rolence) and Marlin (Albert Brooks), Dory sets off to find her family, meeting a few new friends on the way.
Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy will be voicing Dory’s parents Jenny and Charlie, while Ty Burrell, Kaitlin Olson, Ed O’Neill and Willem Dafoe have also joined the cast in fun new roles. Finding Nemo director Andrew Stanton has returned as writer and director, which is sure to make fans of the original happy.
Finding Dory will reach Australia and NZ cinemas on June 16, 2016, and US cinemas on June 17, 2017. UK fans can expect to see the film when it’s released on July 29, 2016.
