The brand new trailer for Captain America: Civil War is here, and the message is clear: you had better choose a side.
Following the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, another international incident involving Captain America (Chris Evans) and the Avengers results in unparalleled collateral damage prompting politicians to form a system of accountability to determine just when it’s right to call in the Avengers. This drives a stake between the team and sets up a collision course between Steve Rogers, and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.).
Directors Anthony and Joe Russo are back following their stellar work on Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and their focus appears to be on Roger’s mission to save the soul of his former best friend Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan). Roger’s quest to save his friend draws in the stern eye of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (William Hurt), who brands Rogers as reckless, and a potential risk to global security.
But while the film’s story is of paramount importance, the new trailer also places audiences in the thick of the action, showcasing new footage of Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther. But the highlight of the trailer is the impending showdown between Rogers and Tony Stark, which will be an all out superheroic brawl.
Things are about to get messy in the Marvel Universe when Captain America: Civil War is released in cinemas on April 29, 2016 in the UK, May 2016 in Australia and New Zealand, and on May 6, 2016 in the US.
