She’s an Oscar winner and box-office mega star, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Jennifer Lawrence is stepping behind the camera for a new challenge.
Lawrence recently revealed her desire to direct in an interview with EW, and it looks like she has found her ideal project.
“I’ve signed on to direct something called Project Delirium — it’s based on this article about mental warfare in the ’60s, like an acid experiment gone terribly wrong.”
Commenting on her wish to direct since she was 16, Lawrence said, “If I had tried to do it earlier, I wouldn’t have been ready. Now I actually feel ready.”
With big names like Sarah Polley, Ben Affleck, Angelina Jolie, Jodie Foster, and Robert Redford having successfully made the move from acting to directing, Lawrence will be in great company.
