Blockbuster king Michael Bay is no stranger to over-the-top heroics, so it comes at no surprise that the final trailer for 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi features plenty of it.
Following the shocking true events of September 11, 2012, the 11th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, a group of militants attacked the American diplomatic compound and nearby CIA Annex in Benghazi, Libya. This is the story of the security team who fought desperately to save the lives of the Americans who were trapped inside.
The new trailer is unflinchingly raw, with an escalating opening that focuses on former Navy SEALs Jack Da Silva (John Krasinski) and Tyrone ‘Rone’ Woods (James Badge Dale) before the explosive action kicks in.
13 Hours is set to have its world premiere at the famed AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas on January 12, before reaching cinemas on January 15 in the US, January 29 in the UK and later on in Australia and New Zealand on March 10.
