Thanks to Empire and Entertainment Weekly, we’ve got our first look at Tim Burton’s eerie new gothic tale Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, which has the celebrated director clearly in his element.
Based on the book by Ransom Riggs and adapted to the screen by celebrated screenwriter Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass, Kingsman: The Secret Service), the film follows 16-year-old Jacob Portman (Asa Butterfield), who accidentally finds himself on a mysterious island that is home to a remote orphanage for ‘peculiar children’ run by the eccentric Miss Peregrine (Eva Green).
In addition to re-teaming with Green, Burton has an all-star cast lined up including Dame Judi Dench, Chris O’Dowd and Samuel L. Jackson as Mr. Barron.
We could be days away from a new trailer, and Miss Peregrine will find her way into cinemas on September 29 in Australia and New Zealand and on September 30 in the US and UK.
