The true terror of the ocean is revealed in ‘The Shallows’
It’s been a long time since Jaws, and we thought the water was safe, but director Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan, Run All Night) has put a stop to that with the terrifying first trailer for The Shallows.
Blake Lively stars as Nancy, a young surfer who has a bad encounter with a great white shark 200 yards from the shoreline, and has no chance whatsoever to get away.
Genuinely unnerving, this new masterwork of terror from Collet-Serra plays nature as pure horror, and will have audiences absolutely terrified of the open water when it is released on June 24 in the US, July 1 in the UK and on August 25 in New Zealand and Australia.
