Steven Spielberg is once again bringing his magic touch to the big screen with an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic children’s tale, The BFG, and he’s reteaming with former collaborator and Oscar winner Mark Rylance.
Young orphan Sophie (Ruby Barnhill), befriends a giant named the BFG (Mark Rylance), and the two of them set out on an adventure to stop a horde of evil, man-eating giants.
The new trailer is packed with magic, and wonder, and the worldbuilding that Spielberg has utilised to bring the universe of the giants to life looks incredible. But it’s not just spectacle that Spielberg is bringing to the project, with a phenomenal cast also bringing the book’s iconic characters to life.
The BFG is sure to entrance audiences everywhere, and will be released in cinemas on July 1 in the US, July 7 in New Zealand and Australia and on July 22 in the UK.
