Star Wars Celebration is here for another year, and thanks to this wonderful festival we now have a new look inside Gareth Edwards’ forthcoming Star Wars: Rogue One.
The new featurette offers a wealth of behind-the-scenes footage focusing on street urchin and thief Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones), who is pulled into the fight to destroy the Death Star alongside Alliance fighters including Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), spirited pilot Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed), zen warrior Chirrut Inwe (Donnie Yen), freelance assassin Baze Malbus (Jiang Wen), and re-programmed battle droid K-2SO (Alan Tudyk).
For longtime fan and Rogue One director Gareth Edwards, the experience of bringing this new chapter to life has been nothing short of a dream come true. Discussing the experience of making the film Edwards said “it was like the fantasy you always have as a kid.”
The new featurette certainly clarifies that Star Wars: Rogue One is a high-stakes war film, with plenty of dynamic action scenes and large-scale explosions, and audiences will certainly feel that this is do or die for the Rebel Alliance.
Star Wars fans will have another chance to experience the power of the force this Christmas when Star Wars: Rogue One arrives in theatres on December 15 in Australia and New Zealand and December 16 in the US and UK.
