SDCC 2016: A ‘Game of Thrones’ production journal has dropped to tide you over for another day
A haunting teaser for Game of Thrones was released this past weekend at Comic-Con, revealing that production on the hit show’s seventh season has begun.
Fans were given some bad news about the production’s delay last week, with President of HBO programming, Casey Bloys, commenting that filming would start later than originally planned, therefore pushing out the expected premiere date.
“Now that winter has arrived on Game of Thrones, executive producers David Benioff and D B Weiss felt that the storylines of the next season would be better served by starting production a little later than usual, when the weather is changing. Instead of the show’s traditional spring debut, we’re moving the debut to summer to accommodate the shooting schedule.”
But it wasn’t all eerie music and voiceover during the show’s panel, with HBO also releasing the blooper reel from the show’s sixth season.
