She’s won an Oscar and signed on to play Captain Marvel, so it’s only fitting that Brie Larson continues to own Hollywood by signing on to star, produce AND direct her next project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Larson will direct independent comedy Unicorn Store, based on the screenplay by Samantha McIntyre. The film will follow a woman named Kit who moves back in with her parents. She then receives an invitation to a store that will test her idea of what it means to grow up.
The film was originally meant to star Rebel Wilson with Miguel Arteta directing, but this shift in direction is a welcome one, not to mention a brilliant career move for Larson, who won her first Oscar earlier this year for the hard-hitting drama Room.
Also coming up for Larson is next year’s Kong: Skull Island opposite Tom Hiddleston and John Goodman.
