Tim Burton is bringing plenty of whimsy to his big screen adaptation of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and now author Ransom Riggs has offered audiences an intriguing look at the film’s set.
Discussing his experience making the film Riggs said “it’s so cool to watch it all come to life. I love the way Tim Burton balances [the] playful with the dark. I just can’t wait to see what he creates.”
This eerie family fantasy follows the adventures of 16-year-old Jacob Portman (Asa Butterfield), who accidentally finds himself on a mysterious island that is home to a remote orphanage for ‘peculiar children’ run by the eccentric Miss Peregrine (Eva Green).
It appears Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children has all the hallmarks that we expect from a Tim Burton film, and his fans will find themselves thoroughly entertained when the film is released on September 29 in Australia and New Zealand, and on September 30 in the US and UK.
