Boyd Holbrook in talks to replace Benicio del Toro in ‘The Predator’
Shane Black’s long-awaited Predator sequel looks like it’s getting a change up as it heads into production.
While veteran performer and Academy Award winner Benicio del Toro was in talks to take on the lead role, he has now been forced to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. The Hollywood Reporter has now confirmed that rising star Boyd Holbrook is in talks to replace him.
Holbrook is fast becoming an in-demand talent in Hollywood following a terrific performance in Netflix Narcos, and was even cast as the lead villain in 20th Century Fox’s Logan. As a performer, Holbrook has continually moved from strength to strength, and if he is cast in the Predator sequel he will be joined by an eclectic supporting cast.
The Predator is set to be released on March 2, 2018.
