Chris Evans is a total sweetheart in ‘Gifted’ trailer
While he may have saved the world multiple times as Captain America, Hollywood superstar Chris Evans is taking a backseat from the action this time in charming indie drama Gifted.

Gifted follows the story of Frank Adler, a somewhat haphazard individual who finds himself raising his niece Mary (Mckenna Grace) following her mother’s unexpected death. But what makes their story truly exceptional is that Mary is a mathematical child prodigy, and while others desire her to pursue her unique gifts, Frank only wishes to honour his sister’s wishes and allow his niece a normal childhood.
Director Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man) returns to his indie roots with Gifted, and like his debut feature (500) Days of Summer, this quaint dramedy looks to be both charming and sincere.
Evans will have audiences swooning as good guy Frank, who brings sincerity and a sense of normality to Mary’s hectic world as a caring and warm-hearted father figure. But it’s not all sunshine, and soon he has to lay everything on the line to keep his family together.
Newcomer Mckenna Grace is certain to be a scene-stealer, while Octavia Spencer is a forceful presence on screen as social worker Roberta Taylor, who helps Frank stand up to the legal forces who are trying to separate him and Mary.
If you are looking for a film that will make you laugh, cry and smile, then Gifted will certainly fit the bill when it’s released on April 12, 2o17.
