Step into the future with ‘Blade Runner 2049’
Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner is regarded as one of the greatest pieces of science fiction ever created, and now modern cinematic auteur Denis Villeneuve is ready to bring audiences a brand new vision of the future with Blade Runner 2049.
Here’s the synopsis:
Set thirty years following the events of Blade Runner, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), discovers a dangerous secret that could plunge what’s left of society into chaos. With nowhere to turn, he goes on a quest to seek out former LAPD blade runner Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) who has been missing for more than thirty years, and who just might have the answers he needs.

Villeneuve is definitely not giving anything away with this new teaser, and presents a stark, yet heightened reality to this crazy future. Gosling brings a certain level of noir cool in the role of the mysterious Officer K, and Ford’s Deckard is now a grizzled old veteran who is still quick on the draw and trusts no one.
Not only is Villeneuve presenting some amazing visual spectacles in Blade Runner 2049, but his supporting cast is just phenomenal, with the likes of Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Ana de Armas, Barkhad Abdi and Jared Leto playing supporting roles.
Blade Runner 2049 is set to be released in cinemas on October 5, 2017 in New Zealand and Australia and on October 6, 2017 in the US and UK.
