The monster returns in ‘Cult of Chucky’
He’s haunted our dreams for a long, long time and now pint-sized killer, Chucky, is set to make his return in the forthcoming Curse of Chucky, which has just released a creepy teaser.
Here’s the synopsis:
After finding herself confined to an insane asylum, Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif) is convinced that she, not Chucky (Brad Dourif), murdered her family. But soon the infamous “Good Guy” doll finds his way inside the asylum, and a series of grisly deaths begin to plague its halls. Sensing that Nica is in mortal danger, a now grown Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent), Chucky’s nemesis, races to her aid, but he’ll have to get past Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly), Chuck’s long-ago bride in order to stop the nefarious killer.
Cult of Chucky will be directed by Child’s Play creator Don Mancini, and will also see the return of cult cinema legend Brad Dourif and his daughter, Fiona, who first collaborated together on 2013’s Curse of Chucky. Production is set to begin on January 9, and Mancini has promised a grittier and more horrific tale that will be more about the gory kills rather than the dark comedy.
Cult of Chucky will be released later in 2017.
