Daniel Wu really shook up the small screen last year in the a science-fiction-western-martial arts hybrid series Into the Badlands, and the new trailer for season two promises a serious adrenaline rush.

Wu returns as former ace clipper Sunny, who has now found himself condemned to slavery following season one’s shocking finale. Longing to be reunited with his one true love Veil (Madeleine Mantock), and their infant child, Sunny will go to extraordinary lengths to escape his enslavement, and will end up challenging The Widow (Emily Beecham), who has ensnared the badlands in her grasp.
Into the Badlands was a sleeper hit that took audiences by surprise with its intriguing narrative, wicked martial arts action and a slick score from Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda. Wu also cemented himself in the eyes of audiences with a cool, yet very human performance that had fans likening him to a modern day Bruce Lee.
Fans can expect an awesome second season two packed with plenty of martial arts fury when Into the Badlands returns on March 19.
