A.A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh took the world by storm when it was first released in 1926, and has continued to enchant both children and adults alike ever since. Now director Simon Curtis (My Week with Marilyn) is ready to take audiences behind the creation of the classic story in the enchanting new film Goodbye Christopher Robin.
Here’s the synopsis:
Suffering greatly after the First World War would-be author A.A. Milne (Domhnall Gleeson) finds inspiration in his young son Christopher Robin Milne, and using his imagination creates a literary work that goes on to stun the world.
By all appearances, Goodbye Christopher Robin will be a thoroughly enchanting piece of cinema starring some of Hollywood’s biggest talents including Margot Robbie and Kelly Macdonald. The film also features period authentic costume design and set dressing and absolutely gorgeous cinematography thanks to cinematographer Ben Smithard.
Goodbye Christopher Robin will be released on October 12 in New Zealand and Australia and on October 13 in the US and UK.
