Luc Besson opens up about his passion for ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’
Directing auteur Luc Besson is returning to the silver screen in a big way this year with sci-fi epic Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. While audiences can expect some phenomenal visual effects, for Besson the project is a lifelong dream come true.
A new featurette dives head first into the exotic world of Valerian, and shows how Besson and his team of eclectic artisans brought to life the galactic fantasia of Alpha.
With over 2,700 visual effects shots, Valerian will certainly be a visual treat for cinemagoers everywhere, and rising stars Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne appear to have great chemistry together as the time-travelling space operatives Valerian and Laureline.
Check out the new featurette below:
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Plants will be released in cinemas on July 21 in the US, and on August 10 in New Zealand and Australia.
