‘Professor Marston & the Wonder Women’ trailer tells the real story behind Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman is one of comic history’s most iconic characters, and she’s rightfully kick butt right now in her first live action big screen solo flick. While fans of the character will be well-versed in her history, some may be surprised to know about the man who created her, and the two bold woman that inspired her.
Professor Marston & the Wonder Woman sees Luke Evans starring as Dr William Moulton Martson, who created the feminist icon character in 1941 by combining the ideals of the two most important women in his life: his wife Elizabeth (Rebecca Hall) and Olive Byrne (Bella Heathcote).
The first trailer has arrived and paints a beautiful portrait of a couple ahead of their time in so many ways, and the struggles and opposition Martson faced in creating the superhero.
Luke Evans is in great form in the trailer, playing the suave and forward-thinking Marston, while Hall looks to have given a stunning turn as Elizabeth Marston, part of the inspiration behind Wonder Woman.
Professor Marston & the Wonder Women will be released on October 27 in the US and UK.
