The LEGO Batman Movie had us in stitches with its outlandish comedy and great performances and we’re eagerly awaiting to return to the world of LEGO with The LEGO Ninjago Movie.
Check out the new trailer below:
Here’s the synopsis:
To combat the threat of the evil Lord Garmadon, an old ninja trains six apprentices to prepare to stand up to the evil mastermind in a fight that will determine the future of Ninjago.
Packed out with laughs, the trailer follows new hero Lloyd (Dave Franco) as he trains to be a ninja and confronts his past. And by confronting his past we mean the fact that he has to come to terms with the fact that his father is ‘The Worst Dude Ever’. Directors Charlie Bean, Paul Fisher and Bob Logan throw shade at the traditional heroes journey with plenty of hilarity, especially in the origin story of how Lloyd’s parents Garmadon (Justin Theroux) and Misako (Olivia Munn) first met.
There’s plenty of random humour thrown in for good measure, and the ‘epic’ showdown between Theroux’s Garmadon and Jackie Chan’s Master Wu is sure to leave you giggling.
The LEGO Ninjago Movie looks like a hilarious time at the cinema and will be released on September 21 in New Zealand and Australia, and on September 22 in the US and UK.
