The terrifying new trailer for ‘It’ is here

“You’ll float too…you’ll float too….YOU’LL FLOAT TOO!”

The horrifying cries of young George Denbrough are difficult to stomach in the shocking new trailer for Andrés Muschietti’s unsettling adaptation of Stephen King’s terrifying classic It.

Check out the new trailer below…if you dare:

Here’s the synopsis:

Set in Derry, Maine of the summer of 1989, a group of outcast kids called The Loser’s Club discover the presence of a shape-shifting monster of pure evil that has decided to feed off the children of their town.

The new trailer certainly makes for a freakish watch, and Muschietti does a great job in playing up the presence of monsters, both real and fantastical, in the town of Derry. The director and his team have really played up the old school nature of the film’s horror elements and there are plenty of jump scares and unexpected shocks.

The greatest part of the new trailer is undoubtedly the presence of Bill Skarsgard who has assumed the identity of Pennywise. For the first time we get to hear this twisted clown speak, and it is a voice that sent chills down our spines. Skarsgard is completely animalistic in this role, and while he might have big shoes to fill in the case of taking on the role from the legendary Tim Curry, the young actor certainly appears up to the task.

We suggest you get as much sleep as you can because once It arrives in theatres the nightmares are sure to begin.

It will be released on September 7 in New Zealand and Australia and on September 8 in the US and UK.
