David Fincher has a history of using darkness as a core theme in his multiple works and his new Netflix series Mindhunter is about to take audiences into the very core of it.
Here’s the synopsis:
Set in 1979, Mindhunter follows newly commissioned FBI Special Agent Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff), who is assigned to the agency’s coveted Behavioural Sciences Unit and is drawn into the profiling and research of serial killers. But the line for Ford soon starts to shift, and the overwhelming darkness of the predators he is chasing soon begins to intertwine with his own personal life.
Check out the intense new trailer below:
Based on true events, Mindhunter takes audiences into a brand new frontier for the FBI and the discovery of criminal profiling and the use of psychology to solve crimes. Co-stars Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany make for a perfect pairing on screen and the series will no-doubt be an unsettling watch.
While I would caution audiences to expect less action than normal, the mind games that are being played here will certainly unhinge viewers and provide some dynamic and unexpected thrills.
Mindhunter will be released on Netflix on October 13.
