Director Joseph Kosinski (Tron: Legacy) and Hollywood megastar Josh Brolin have put in tireless effort to fully realise the incredible heroism of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, a group of the most elite wildfire firefighters in the world who made the ultimate sacrifice, in Only the Brave.
In a brand new featurette, they invite audiences to experience the very real danger that these brave men fought to combat on June 28, 2013.
Only the Brave has been a particular passion project for Brolin, who has a very real respect and involvement with a number of firefighting communities throughout California, and the star made sure that the details were correct.
Brolin himself takes on the role of Captain Eric Marsh, the commander of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, and who goes on to mentor wayward youth Brendan “Donut” McDonough played by Miles Teller. Supporting Brolin and Teller are an excellent cast who include Taylor Kitsch, James Badge Dale and Jennifer Connelly who portrays Marsh’s wife Amanda.
If you’re looking for heroism in the face of the grandest adversity then you’ll find it in Only the Brave which arrives in cinemas later this year on November 9.
