Corellian smuggler Han Solo’s origin tale has got many long-time film fans excited and now acclaimed director Ron Howard has completed production on the film and confirmed the film’s title as Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Howard took to Twitter, where he has been sharing updates about the project, to confirm completion of production and to reveal the film’s title, which he made with the help of a certain Wookie.

While major plot points are still unknown Solo will follow the adventures of a young and untested Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) as he sets out to make a name for himself in the galaxy’s criminal underworld and comes into ownership of the Millenium Falcon and has his first encounter with fellow smuggler and scoundrel Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover).
In addition to Ehrenreich and Glover, Solo also stars Emilia Clarke as Solo’s love interest Kira and Woody Harrelson as his mentor Beckett.
Solo: A Star Wars Story will be released on May 24, 2018 in New Zealand and Australia and on May 25, 2018 in the US and UK.
