Lauded thespian Kenneth Branagh is ready to take audiences on a glamorous thrill ride into the past with a new adaption of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, which in addition to directing also see’s him starring as Christie’s famed detective Hercule Poirot.
In a brand new behind-the-scenes featurette Branagh and his co-stars discuss the decadence and grandeur that they strived to bring to life with Murder on the Orient Express.
“We wanted to bring the full experience to the audience, so I shot on film. It essentially means it looks sharper, richer, more colourful, and it feels like you’re inside.” Said Branagh.
Actor Josh Gad who portrays Hector McQueen, one of the principal suspects, praised Branagh’s direction and promises that audiences will be in for a real treat. Of his experience on the project, Gad said: “if ever a movie demanded being seen on a large screen with a full audience it’s Murder on the Orient Express.”
You won’t want to miss Murder on the Orient Express when it is released on November 9 in New Zealand and Australia and on November 10 in the US and UK.
